PANASONIC INTRODUCES NEW COST EFFECTIVE PT-LB78 LCD PROJECTOR
PT-LB78 portable projector provides brightness of 3,000 lumens at a competitive price point

Wiesbaden, Germany – 18th August 2009. Panasonic Corporation has launched the PT-LB78 LCD projector which provides brightness up to 3000 lumens and has been designed to retail at a price below €1150 (ex VAT). Part of Panasonic’s PT-LB Series of projectors, the PT-LB78 device provides strong lumen capabilities at a competitive cost and includes Panasonic’s Daylight View 4 feature to provide crisp images even in brightly lit conditions.

The PT-LB78 unit has been developed to minimise image degradation by reducing the entry of dust into the interior optical compartment. This has been achieved through touch-sensitive buttons on the top panel to eliminate surface gaps and a Micro Cut Filter to protect the lens controls. The interior cooling air-flow has also been designed to reduce contact between external air and the optical components.

Hartmut Kulessa, Marketing Manager, Projectors at Panasonic said: “Projectors are becoming a standard piece of equipment in virtually all professional environments although the high-end capabilities can sometimes be out of the price range for some businesses. The PT-LB78 projector provides impressive capabilities at an affordable price which will be welcomed by our dealers and technology partners as they take the product out to a new range of customers. We’re delighted to be bringing this new unit to market which now completes Panasonic’s line-up of portable projectors.”

The PT-LB range of dust resistant projectors now includes six professional portable models with an emphasis on picture quality, reliability and ease of functionality. For additional details on the PT-LB projector range, go to panasonic.net/avc/projector/

Dust out, long-term quality in

All six PT-LB projector models are built using an advanced dust-resistant chassis, complete with a ‘gapless’ touch sensor control panel, a cover which protects the zoom/focus ring when not being used, and an airtight structure that concentrates the air intake into a single location. The optimised dust protection measurements ensure a long projector lifetime and high brightness levels over time.

Stylish and Practical Design

In line with the IF design awarded PT-F100, the PT-LB series shows a number of design elements such as the touch sensor control panel but also the overall shape and chassis design which are not only made for easy use but also prestigious appearance.

Excellent connectivity

If you want to connect using cables, the PT-LB projector series include two D-Sub PC inputs, S-Video and composite video inputs, and a serial port for external control. One of the two PC inputs can be switched to a PC output, for loop-through monitoring.

Eco Mode & quiet operation

The PT-LB range runs very quietly, 29dB guarantee an undisturbed presentation without loud and noisy fan operation. Thanks to the Eco mode, the PT-LB series projectors can be switched to a less power consuming mode.

Additional highlight features

In addition to the above explained features the PT-LB series includes the following extremely helpful functionalities:
1. Easy lamp replacement from the rear
2. Numerous anti-theft features (security anchor, user password etc)
3. Optional ceiling mount bracket.
4. Daylight View 4 technology for optimised, environmental light dependent picture perception
